Animal Project: Part 3 |animation
Introduction and Storyboarding
Right off the bat, I can see myself struggling really badly because of the software that we are going to work with: Adobe After Effects. To begin with, I started off by story boarding the animation that I am hoping to create.
When thinking about the story board, I first thought about what I wanted to express with my animation. Apart from the basics of the movement of the dolphins, I also wanted to focus on how they are going extinct. So by thinking about the animation and transitions at the same time, I started mapping it out on a sheet of paper.
This story board depicts an animation in which the main story line is based on the reason why the dolphin are on the brink on extinction. I also feel that the change in scenes and the movement makes the composition as a whole very dynamic which I really like.
Critique
- There is a well established story line which is great
- Think about the time that the dolphin would be in the scene. Who is the main hero?
- The first scene of the moving fish would be difficult considering my skill level and the subsequent effect that would have on the animation
Goals for next time
